Our take on 仙途
The defining mechanic is the soul-based equipment system: non-boss monsters can be captured for souls, and the equipped soul determines which weapons become available.
What is 仙途?
This RPG follows a young man who awakens beside the river in Huangfengling, ten thousand years after an invasion by demons from beyond the region.
Character creation offers distinct starting characters, while progression centers on mental techniques and an original breakthrough system. The game includes a soul system in which every non-boss monster can be captured to obtain its soul. Souls also control equipment access: a weapon can be equipped only after a soul is equipped, and the available weapons depend on that soul’s type. A gameplay notice advises reaching 25% progress in mental techniques before leveling up because upgrade attributes are based on those techniques.
How 仙途 plays
- 01Custom Starting Characters
- Character creation takes place at the beginning of the game.
- 02Mental Technique Progression
- Upgrade attributes are tied to mental techniques, with progress shown in the status screen.
- 03Monster Soul Capture
- Non-boss monsters can be captured to obtain souls.
- 04Soul-Based Equipment
- Weapons become available only after equipping a soul, and the soul type determines which weapons can be used.
仙途 compared to similar games
Back to the Dawn is a prison-escape RPG focused on survival, investigation, and breaking out of a maximum-security facility, while 仙途 centers on cultivation, monster-soul capture, and soul-dependent weapon access. Shogun Showdown uses turn-based combat, attack-tile upgrades, skill acquisition, and deck building before confronting the Shogun; 仙途 instead ties progression and equipment to mental techniques and captured souls.
