The game combines visual-novel progression with board-based battles, so reaching story outcomes requires managing movement, combat, and character bonds. Story mode can skip battles, but doing so removes the battle-based points and bond settlement described for regular play.
What is 真空战姬?
Set in the year 30XX, the game follows air crew members defending humanity’s last refuge from the Woe.
The story centers on Beginning of Spring and can lead to different endings. It contains 34 main chapters, about 360,000 words of main plot, around 100,000 words of branch endings, and about 60,000 words of optional theater events. Chinese dubbing is used throughout except in the theater events.
Battles take place on a flying-chess board, where players move up to four characters by rolling dice, fight enemies, use skills and items, and aim to reach the finish. Character bonds gained through combat and choices can unlock attributes and skills and affect branch endings. The large map includes a store and theater exploration, with each exploration costing one action point.
