Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want one consistent progression system may bounce off the split between two substantially different modes.
- Players seeking a tightly focused combat game may find the occupations, minigames, collection, exploration, and ending paths diffuse.
- Players looking for a purely linear story may not suit the occupation choices and multiple conclusions.
- Players seeking real-time combat may not find the combat format suitable.
Our take on 侠之信条
The bounce point is the mode selection: players expecting two lightly varied campaigns may hit a wall when they encounter two substantially different experiences. Those wanting a single character-building path must also choose between identity collection and build construction before settling into play.
What is 侠之信条?
Set in early Ming China, this RPG presents conflict between the imperial court and the martial world, alongside invasions involving Mongols, pirates, and other factions.
It offers two separate modes with different structures. Step-by-Step Progression includes 60 identities and a collection system. Endless Variety focuses on builds assembled from six schools, internal techniques, titles, weapons, and equipment. Players can choose from dozens of occupations across three factions, including scholar, soldier, wandering hero, blacksmith, and treasure seeker. Battles allow defeated enemies to be persuaded into joining the player’s group. Cave exploration, pet capture, minigames, and multiple endings are also included.
