Our take on Zoominoes
The bounce point arrives when the board interactions and scoring multipliers become the main event. Players who want direct animal care, exploration, or combat may lose interest once the zoo theme gives way to optimizing tile combinations and deck effects.
What is Zoominoes?
Zoominoes is a zoo-themed roguelike deckbuilder centered on placing and combining cards on a board to increase scores.
Runs let players collect 218 animals, customize decks with 35 snacks, and use 112 souvenirs that alter how cards behave. Board modifiers can raise scoring potential, while animal types and color-focused builds support different deck directions. Players choose among 20 Zookeepers, each with a distinct starting deck and abilities. A run covers a 28-day month, with Endless Mode extending play toward Day 56. Daily Run provides a shared seeded challenge, and Challenges Mode adds 24 missions with 192 points to earn. Eight difficulty levels range from Volunteer to Director.

Shogun Showdown also combines roguelike progression with deck or tile upgrades, but its description centers on turn-based combat, positioning, attacks, and defeating the Shogun.
