Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a story-led campaign with a described sequence of missions may find the focus on ongoing survival limiting.
- Those who prefer low-pressure play may find repeated zombie attacks and survival needs demanding over longer sessions.
- Players looking for cooperative or competitive multiplayer will not find it in this single-player game.
Our take on Zombie Watch
The survival loop ties exploration to upkeep: supplies, food, water, and wound treatment compete with time spent gathering and building. That focus leaves less room for a mission-based story structure.
What is Zombie Watch?
Zombie Watch is a single-player, top-down survival RPG set in a post-apocalyptic open world.
Explore different zones and biomes while gathering, mining, and scavenging for supplies. Craft or find weapons, armor, clothing, food, medicine, and other equipment, and build a base with defenses against recurring zombie attacks. Zombies may also pursue the player during exploration, responding to sound and scent. Survival includes managing food, water, and exposure to cold, as well as treating wounds from bites or scratches. The game also includes wildlife, farming, cooking, brewing potions, setting traps, and crafting ammunition. Players can choose to shelter at their base or confront the zombies directly when hordes attack.
How Zombie Watch plays
- 01Base defense
- Zombies periodically attack built-up bases in waves, so defenses can be used while sheltering or fighting back.
- 02Survival needs
- Food, water, and cold are dangers alongside zombie attacks, and players can grow food from seeds.
- 03Sound and scent
- Zombies can detect the player by hearing footsteps or smelling them from a distance.
- 04Crafting and gathering
- Resources come from activities such as mining ore, chopping trees, scavenging, and gathering herbs.
