Yousei is a supernatural mystery visual novel following Kangai, a former wanderer who returns to his hometown as deaths connected to his past begin.
He joins a government-monitored group of psychic teenagers and goes undercover at a local university. After a professor dies, the investigation shifts toward a race against an old adversary for valuable information. Players guide Kangai around the campus, interrogate suspects, and uncover secrets behind the lies surrounding his history. The game combines visual-novel presentation with adventure gameplay and includes anime elements, depictions of crime scenes, and some blood. Its central question is whether Kangai and the group can catch the murderer before the murderer catches them.
