Our take on Xenia
The feature list gives the game a defined structure—12 levels, 7 bosses, hidden rooms, and alternate endings—but provides little detail about how those endings differ or how much content the secret areas add beyond treasure collection.
What is Xenia?
Xenia is a side-scrolling Metroidvania set in Ancient Greece.
Players control Ardas, a blacksmith tasked with rescuing Queen Xenia after the wizard Skotos kidnaps her. The game includes 12 levels, 7 bosses, secret rooms containing treasures, and alternate endings. Gold collected during play can be spent in a Magic shop on items. Combat is fast-paced and includes standard attacks, special attacks, and an aura shield. Progress is recorded through checkpoints. The game supports keyboard and gamepad controls, with options for movement, jumping, attacks, climbing, pausing, and deleting all progress. The story presents Queen Xenia as a historical figure who lived in the 12th century b. c.
