Our take on Write 'n' Fight
The game focuses on short, high-consequence arena encounters, sacrificing the slower pacing and extended defensive exchanges found in fighting games built around longer rounds. Temporary boss arenas add variety, but they also interrupt the regular match structure with time-limited objectives.
What is Write 'n' Fight?
Write 'n' Fight is a fighting game featuring 15 combatants based on famous writers and arenas inspired by their works.
Each character can summon a temporary magic arena and become its boss. Combatants can be knocked out with one hit while standing in a danger zone. When a magic arena appears, the match shifts into an arcade-style challenge: the boss player must defeat the opponent before the arena timer ends. Rollback is included. The game also offers 2x Speed mode for faster reactions, Prophet mode with simultaneous hidden command entry and turn-based execution, and Retro mode with pixelated graphics.
