- Players requiring a finished release may not suit an early-access game with planned content and mechanic changes
- Players on Mac cannot currently play because Mac support is planned rather than available
Our take on World Wide Hack
Its focus on simulated hacking, network control, and faction choices leaves less room for conventional combat systems. Early access also means the current experience is subject to bug fixing and changes to content and mechanics.
What is World Wide Hack?
World Wide Hack is an MMO simulation game about hacking and cybersecurity across experimental open-world networks.
Players investigate QuanTech’s leaked system, uncover company secrets, alter computer systems, and observe consequences for corporations and inhabitants. Gameplay includes collecting hacking and security tools, improving a computer, gathering assets, creating websites and tools, controlling network areas, and building servers. Players can cooperate with a faction, compete in player-versus-player area fights, complete puzzles, or play alone. Quests include a main story and smaller stories presenting different perspectives from two factions. The game is in early access, with ongoing bug fixing and changes to content and mechanics. Windows, Linux, and Web are currently supported; Mac support is planned.
