Our take on Witchkin
The emphasis on hiding, quiet movement, and awareness limits the role of direct confrontation. Its farmhouse setting also concentrates the experience around one threatening location rather than offering a broad range of environments.
What is Witchkin?
Witchkin is a first-person survival horror game built around stealth.
Players control a child searching an abandoned Texas farmhouse in the 1920s for an abducted little sister. The house contains the Witchkin, a family of terrifying toys used by a deranged woman known as the Candy Lady to prevent those who enter from leaving. Sneaking, hiding, staying quiet, and remaining aware of the toys and surroundings are central mechanics. The game uses an art style inspired by early silent movies, with eerie sepia tones and murky shadows. One person created the game’s art, music, voice work, and programming, with some help from family members.
