Our take on Witches, Heroes and Magic
The real-time, third-person format places the protagonist inside each battle, but sacrifices the distance and turn-by-turn planning associated with map-focused strategy games. The protagonist must also stay alive, since falling ends the battle.
What is Witches, Heroes and Magic?
Witches, Heroes and Magic is a single-player action strategy game about freeing the protagonist’s mother from a spell.
Combat takes place in real time from a third-person view, with a slow-time system for tactical moments. Players gather armies and combine units for roles such as absorbing damage, healing, or kiting enemies. Spells and abilities can heal, shield, and move troops, while a wall spell can block an incoming projectile. The protagonist can use troops as shields, jump on ogres, and ride creatures including manticores and dragons. A dragon can fight while the player heals it, or fight alongside the protagonist. The game includes DOTA-styled combat for outposts and features 100's of creatures to dominate, recruit, or defeat.
