Our take on Winds of Change
Players expecting a linear story may bounce off when dialogue choices begin sending the narrative along different routes. Others may hit the wall at the point-and-click interface, where exploration, conversations, hidden objects, and books form the main way of engaging with the world.
What is Winds of Change?
Winds of Change is a 2D visual novel and point-and-click adventure set in a fantasy world.
Players take the role of the Seer of Valinorth, whose visions lead them into a rebellion against the Triumvirate. The story involves gathering an army, pursuing the Blade of Exodus, and deciding the rebellion’s fate. Dialogue choices shape a non-linear narrative with multiple endings, friendships, and romances without gender restrictions. Exploration includes returning to earlier areas, finding hidden objects and books, and completing side quests and optional stories. Party members can be approached for conversations, while skits and parallel scenes show events involving other characters. The game includes voice acting throughout its story.
