Our take on Willow Guard
The defining detail is its combination of real-time isometric monster fighting with an action deck and clue-based, choice-driven investigation between battles.
What is Willow Guard?
Play as Ghweros, a Willowguard investigating monster attacks near the village of Woikos in a dark fantasy world.
Combat combines isometric hack-and-slash action with an ability deck used against invading monsters and increasingly difficult foes. Outside combat, investigate the village by speaking with characters and collecting clues and items that reveal locations, characters, and mysteries. Progression comes through equipment upgrades, new abilities, crafting, loot, and materials gathered from monsters, dungeon runs, quests, or the Merchant. The Inclination system reflects story choices, while those choices shape the fate of Woikos. The single-player campaign uses pixel-art levels and choice-based interactive fiction.
