ActionIs Westard worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR players who want western bank and train heists

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a campaign built around exploration or narrative progression rather than heists and combat
- Users who dislike manual weapon actions, including loading five-round revolvers and cocking the hammer
- Players looking for a finished 1.0 release rather than a game undergoing a planned rework
Our take on Westard
The bounce point arrives at weapon handling: firing is not a simple trigger action, since the revolver holds five bullets and requires the hammer to be fully cocked. Players who do not want manual reload and preparation steps may stop there, before the heist or PvP systems become the focus.
What is Westard?
Westard VR combines solo and cooperative bank and train heists with competitive multiplayer in a western setting.
Missions can involve picking a bank lock or destroying the vault wall, followed by fights against waves of guards. PvP modes include Robbery, where players collect money by defeating opponents and taking bank loot, and classic deathmatch. Weapons use manual handling and reloading: the single-action revolver holds five bullets, and its hammer must be fully drawn before firing. Movement uses a touchpad, while Comfort mode places a third-person ghost at the destination before teleportation. The vendor says the game is undergoing major graphical and gameplay changes, with a reworked version planned during 2025 and version 1. 0 planned for early 2026.
How Westard plays
- 01Bank Heist Missions
- Players can open a vault by picking its lock or demolishing the wall, then face guard waves alone or with co-op partners.
- 02Competitive Multiplayer
- Robbery and deathmatch modes support western street battles against other players.
- 03Manual Revolver Handling
- The revolver carries five rounds, and firing requires drawing its hammer to the fully cocked position.
- 04Comfort Movement Mode
- A third-person ghost can be moved with the touchpad before teleporting to its position.
