Our take on We Know the Devil
The store framing foregrounds the devil-hunting premise, but the playable structure centers on relationship routes and waiting through the night. The supernatural threat provides the setting for a branching group drama in which choosing a pairing determines who is left out.
What is We Know the Devil?
Follow Neptune, Jupiter, and Venus through a surreal summer-camp horror story set in a religious rural environment.
The visual novel focuses on relationships within a group of three, where one character is always left out. Choose which pairing to follow as the teens learn about themselves and wait in a remote cabin for the devil to arrive. The story includes three endings for each possible pairing and an additional true ending. Its presentation combines live disposable-camera photographs, an 80s horror synth soundtrack, abstract psychological horror, and themes involving queer youth, isolation, and alienation. The characters spend their final week completing adult-assigned work, attending camp activities, and preparing for the overnight encounter.
