Our take on Water Festa
The bounce point arrives when dodging is no longer enough: staying alive requires moving toward water while attacks continue. Players who want a straightforward shooter may stall at the wetness balance, since both avoiding and seeking hazards are part of basic play.
What is Water Festa?
Water Festa is a top-down shooter set during Thailand’s Songkran water festival.
Players control a mermaid on land whose wetness must stay within a range to remain human. People continuously spray water, requiring players to avoid becoming too wet while seeking water when the character becomes dry. The mermaid also carries a water gun fueled by her power. Combat combines shooting, movement, and wetness management as players travel through the land. The game presents a casual bullet hell structure, with its wetness mechanic making play more forgiving than traditional bullet hell games.
