Is War Beasts worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Tower defense players who want threats arriving from land, air, and space
- Strategy players who enjoy matching weapon types to enemy abilities
- Players seeking a separate mode focused on mobile tanks and land-air force balance
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a single, consistent tower defense format may bounce off the clan battle mode's switch to mobile army selection.
- Players who prefer low-pressure defense may hit a wall when higher star levels add more enemy waves and new abilities.
- Players looking for character-driven role-playing or shelter-survival systems may find the focus on weapons, structures, and battlefield placement too narrow.
- Players seeking a broader real-time economy may find the listed management centered on energy stations, research, and defensive upgrades.
Our take on War Beasts
The bounce point arrives when the five-star structure raises the wave count and introduces threats that require specialized counters, such as sonar for invisible units or air defenses for aircraft. The clan battle mode is another sharp transition, replacing tower placement with mobile tank selection and army balance.
What is War Beasts?
War Beasts combines 3D tower defense with a clan battle mode.
In standard levels, defensive towers can be placed along enemy routes, while energy stations generate gold over fixed periods and cannot be moved afterward. Machine guns, cannons, artillery, lasers, rocket launchers, cruise missiles, air defenses, sonar sites, wormholes, and satellites target different threats across land, air, and space. Buildings can be repaired and some can be upgraded; research institutes improve troop armor, attack power, and AI while accumulating energy for protective shields.
New levels introduce enemies with different abilities, including invisible units, armored war machines, bombers, and transport aircraft. Each level has five stars, with higher ratings bringing additional enemy waves. Clan battles replace tower construction with mobile tank selection and land-air force management.
How War Beasts plays
- 01Multi-range arsenal
- Weapons cover short-, medium-, and long-range roles against infantry, aircraft, armored machines, and dense enemy formations.
- 02Cross-domain defenses
- Air defense sites, sonar, wormholes, and satellites address aircraft, invisible units, giant war machines, and space fleets.
- 03Research upgrades
- Research institutes improve troop armor, attack power, and AI, and can release protective shields using accumulated energy.
- 04Five-star levels
- Each level offers five star ratings, with higher ratings increasing the number of attacking waves.
- 05Mobile clan battles
- The clan mode uses selected tanks and army composition instead of fixed defensive-site construction.
War Beasts compared to similar games
War Beasts centers on placing specialized defenses along enemy routes, then adds a clan mode based on mobile tanks and land-air force balance. Until We Die is a base-defense strategy game set around surviving attacks on an underground subway station for about 30 game days. Creeper World 4 instead combines real-time strategy with economic expansion and forces that fight a fluid enemy across 3D terrain.
