Our take on Virtual Surfing
The central control idea is shifting body weight above the surfboard to perform many of the surfing maneuvers.
What is Virtual Surfing?
This surfing simulation lets players paddle around an area, choose where to enter a wave, and ride medium-sized and big waves.
Surfing maneuvers are performed largely by shifting body weight above the board, with aerials and tube riding also available. A separate tube camera provides a view from inside the wave. Challenges include competitions judged on performance and tasks requiring specific tricks or combinations. Camera controls allow viewing waves from different positions. Players can select and customize male and female characters, then design surfboards with personal images and adjust the board and fin materials.
