Our take on Video Game Fables
The store copy gives substantial space to combat mechanics and side systems, while the story premise receives less detail. It presents the battle and party-growth structure more clearly than the adventure's broader narrative arc.
What is Video Game Fables?
This lighthearted RPG adventure follows Aru, Nate, and Tator as they respond to a ruined world script linked to the Forsaken Princess.
The setting is an abandoned game world that has gone decades without a player, with humor in its dialogue, characters, and world. Battles are fast, turn-based, and strategy-focused, including a CRIT system that lets players store a CRIT for use on a later turn. Boss encounters can disrupt the usual battle system. Party development uses a resource-allocation leveling system, while equipped weapons can slightly change class behavior. Other systems include skill crafting, weapon upgrades, mining, fishing, and simple gardening. The game also includes original music by Levc EGM.
