Our take on Vellum
Rather than using a standard fantasy setting, Vellum frames roguelike combat through books, ink, spells, and literary wordplay. Its run structure also lets players influence enemy development, making opponents part of the build and difficulty choices instead of fixed encounters.
What is Vellum?
Vellum is a literary roguelike for solo play or groups of 1–4 players, built around short runs under 30 minutes.
Players choose from 6 Signature Ink classes, combine more than 20 spells, and shape builds with over 300 powers and customizable augments. Battles also let players select from over 100 enemy upgrades and effects, changing how foes develop. Each Tome introduces distinct mechanics, while team-wide powers support coordinated builds. Between runs, the Illuminated Library provides research for customizable talents and a personal Reading Nook with hundreds of decorations. Binding options add challenge, and additional activities include rotating global challenges, two raid realms, and post-run Appendices.
