We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Racing fans who want to tune vehicle physics between events
- Players who enjoy competitive time comparison through ghosts and leaderboards
- Simulation-focused racers who want Mars tracks and hovercraft handling
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for conventional wheeled-car racing rather than hover vehicles with adjustable flight behavior
- Players who prefer straightforward driving and minimal engineering between races
- Racers seeking a broad selection of real-world locations instead of a Mars-based setting
Our take on Vector 36
The defining detail is the Skimmer’s physics-driven construction: moving internal hardware changes its balance, while thruster adjustments reshape how the vehicle flies around each track.
What is Vector 36?
Vector 36 is a physics-based racing game set on the terraformed surface of Mars.
Players pilot Skimmers, hover vehicles whose components can be rearranged to alter balance, thruster angles, and flight behavior. Races include Sprint, Circuit, and Tournament events across Mars tracks, with credits, parts, and additional Skimmers available as rewards. Vehicle preparation includes parts, accessories, passive weapons, and support equipment for different race demands, such as speed, endurance, or climbing. Ghost replays support races against friends, while global leaderboards record competition results. The game supports play on a PC monitor, with optional VR and HOTAS support.
How Vector 36 plays
- 01Physics-based tuning
- Repositioning internal components changes the Skimmer’s center of gravity, while thruster adjustments affect its movement.
- 02Multiple race formats
- Sprint, Circuit, and Tournament events offer different race structures across Martian tracks.
- 03Vehicle customization
- Parts, accessories, passive weapons, and support gear can be selected for specific racing conditions.
- 04Ghost competition
- Ghost replays allow races against friends without requiring simultaneous runs.
- 05Global leaderboards
- Worldwide rankings track performance across the game’s racing competition.
Vector 36 compared to similar games
Vector 36 combines Mars-based hover racing with component-level vehicle tuning and several race formats. Uncrashed: FPV Drone Simulator and The Drone Racing League Simulator focus on FPV drone flight, while KartKraft™ centers on kart racing and Drift Streets Japan on night street driving with car tuning.
