Our take on Unichrome: A 1-Bit Unicorn Adventure
Players seeking pauses between platforming and combat may hit a wall when the action becomes relentless. The specific sticking point is the bullet-heavy mix of homing shots, automated turrets, and ice beams, layered on top of fast platforming.
What is Unichrome: A 1-Bit Unicorn Adventure?
Play as a unicorn searching for color in a single-player run-and-gun platformer with off-kilter comedy.
The action combines platforming with attacks such as horn dashes, a triple-barrel shotgun, Molotov cocktails, and a rainbow bazooka. Homing bullets, automated turrets, and ice beams also appear. The game includes over 40 levels across 8 worlds, 16 bosses, and 16 tools for destruction. Characters are fully voiced, and the presentation pairs 1-bit art with an original soundtrack by Jaggy Fox.
