Our take on UnDuster
The defining mechanic is movement by vacuum: an eight-direction pull carries Gertrude toward a target, while a sustained blast pushes her away from danger. Platforming is structured around choosing between these two opposing forces to cross the dungeon.
What is UnDuster?
UnDuster is a precision platformer set in a dangerous, spiky dungeon.
Movement centers on two vacuum abilities: an eight-direction dash that pulls the character toward chosen locations, and a continuous blast that pushes her away from hazards. Players run, jump, collect stickers for a 3D vacuum, and search for a way out. The game follows Gertrude Gummers, a maid handling one final job at an ominous secluded manor with her custom-built, battery-powered vacuum. It also includes a wavedash movement option. UnDuster was originally created for the BIGMODE Game Jam in 2023, where it placed eighth in the Fun category and received a Judge’s Choice certificate.
