Our take on Undersea 8
Instead of using a conventional combat or exploration structure, the game turns movement through an underwater ruin into an observation test. Progress depends on spotting anomalies and applying a simple directional rule, while the later mode adds oxygen management and photography to that pattern.
What is Undersea 8?
Undersea 8 is a walking simulator set in a dangerous underwater ruin.
As part of a recruitment scheme for a shady company, the player explores the ruins while following instructions: descend when an anomaly appears and ascend when none is present. Reaching sea level completes the escape. Some anomalies can attack. Classic mode provides a lower-difficulty introduction focused on identifying anomalies and escaping. Normal mode becomes available after Classic Mode is cleared and adds oxygen management and photo-taking. The expected play time is around 1 to 2 hours. Movement uses WASD, with controls for a thruster, ascending, descending, a headlight, and taking photos.
