Our take on Umineko: Golden Fantasia
Players may bounce off when a Meta World activation is challenged: spending SP does not guarantee that the state will take effect, because the opponent can argue against it and cancel the attempt. Shared HP and SP also add team-resource management to each match.
What is Umineko: Golden Fantasia?
Umineko: Golden Fantasia is a tag-team fighting game based on the Umineko When They Cry series.
Each match places two pairs of characters against each other. Paired characters share HP and build SP through the touch system. Players can spend SP to enter the Meta World, while the opponent may challenge the activation and cancel it by arguing their truth. This Steam release includes the Cross Expansion from the original Japanese version, bringing George, Jessica, and Rosa from the Ushiromiya family into the game. Combat lines, story mode, and match openings and endings are fully voiced in Japanese. The release is available in English and includes improved rollback netplay.
