Our take on Triblaster
Players who expect a gentle arcade introduction may bounce off the difficulty once the level progression and achievement challenges demand repeated survival runs. The likely sticking point is not the control concept, but the game's insistence on pursuing high scores through demanding stages.
What is Triblaster?
Triblaster is a retro vector-style arcade shooter set in an unknown dimension.
Players control the TriBlaster, fire at enemies, collect resources, and use those resources to determine the beam weapon. A space-jump move provides a way to avoid incoming foes. The main objective is to survive while pursuing higher scores. The game includes 100 levels and uses a traditional game-over structure. Completing stages is only part of the challenge, with achievements adding extra objectives, including some that are difficult to discover. Its structure focuses on repeated shooting, survival, score chasing, and progression through a large set of levels.
