Play it if you…
Good fit- Small groups of 2 to 4 players who want cooperative waste-sorting gameplay
- Players who prefer local multiplayer from one device
- Fans of survival adventures with mutated-animal characters and defensive combat
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a solo experience, since the stated group structure is 2 to 4 participants
- Players looking for a broad range of activities beyond sorting waste, defending stations, and managing survival equipment
- Players who want a conventional setting rather than a post-apocalyptic world with animated garbage
- Players who do not have access to Steam
Our take on Trash is Fun
The cooperative structure narrows the experience to small-group play: its team-based recycling and defense systems trade away a solo format. The focus on sorting waste also leaves less room for broader adventure activities outside the stated survival framework.
What is Trash is Fun?
Trash is Fun is a cooperative adventure for 2 to 4 players, set after global warming has caused an apocalypse.
Players control mutated animals, including a duck, owl, squirrel, or hedgehog, and work together to sort and recycle paper, plastic, and other waste. Animated garbage attacks sorting stations, so the team can use turrets and flamethrowers. Levels include destructible barricades, an electricity generator, and an oxygen filter, each with its own health value. Cooperative play supports local multiplayer from one device and online play through Remote Play. The game combines waste sorting with survival elements and a journey through locations around the world.
