Our take on Touge Shakai
Rather than treating drifting as a loss of control, the game makes it the faster choice for most rear-wheel-drive cars. Its structure also replaces standard circuit racing with mountain-pass duels, free-roam encounters, ghost runs, and team battles.
What is Touge Shakai?
Touge Shakai is an online mountain-pass racing game based on Japanese car culture.
Its simulated driving model sits between arcade and hardcore simulation, with different cars requiring different driving styles. For most rear-wheel-drive cars, drifting is faster than grip driving. Time Attack includes local and online ghosts, target-time medals, leaderboards, and progression toward cars and parts. PvP includes First to Finish, Cat and Mouse, and team battles. Free Ride supports practice, socializing, and impromptu races. Cars can receive body kits and custom liveries, while rain and fog provide different driving conditions. The game also includes steering-wheel force feedback, virtual reality support, an in-game music player, and a manually flown FPV drone.
