Our take on TORMENTOR
The presentation foregrounds the torturer role and broadcasts, while the game also includes prison reconstruction, prisoner investigations, victim customization, and a story involving memory loss and drug-seeking. Those management and narrative elements may be less apparent from the opening pitch.
What is TORMENTOR?
Play as a torturer managing an abandoned prison among ancient temple ruins.
Reconstruct the facility, add torture tools, and prepare prisoners for staged encounters. Investigate their notes and emails to uncover fears and secrets before taking them to the torture chamber. Broadcast the sessions on the Darknet, earning money from video transmissions and attracting sponsors, donations, and new victims. Prisoners can also be armed and set loose to hunt the player. The story follows a character dealing with mental illness, memory loss, and dangerous blackouts while seeking an experimental drug through an underground criminal group. Victim customization includes names, voice tones, and detailed descriptions.
