Our take on Toricky
Players who expect a conventional weapon set may hit a wall in the combat system: Toricky has no weapons and instead uses objects in the environment to attack. Boss encounters also require watching enemy movements and identifying weaknesses before striking.
What is Toricky?
Toricky is a 2D action-adventure platformer about two birds exploring the Crystar Palace.
Players fly through large, non-linear stages divided into areas, navigating traps and enemies while searching for the missing inhabitants and Crystar jewels. The environment also shapes combat: Toricky can use objects such as pebbles against enemies. Puzzles require interaction with the surroundings, while boss encounters involve watching enemy movements and identifying weaknesses before attacking. The game includes Japanese-voiced story dialogue and lists Japanese, English, and French as available languages. A mode focused on exploration and puzzles is available. Completion options include a no-damage medal challenge and Time-Attack mode.
