Our take on Toree Saturn
Rather than centering exploration or elaborate combat, this platformer reduces each stage to a fast point-to-point route. Its unusual presentation pairs a round bird in sunglasses with a visual blend of late-1990s 3D and early-Y2K styles.
What is Toree Saturn?
Toree Saturn is a speed-focused 3D platformer built around short, linear runs from one point to another.
Players control a round bird wearing sunglasses and a backpack, using jumps to navigate themed levels, avoid enemies, collect optional stars, and pick up speed boosts. Toree can now perform a mid-air ground dash that accelerates descent and grants a boost when landing. Special stars can also draw the character toward them, adding height and movement. The game uses an art direction combining late-1990s 3D visuals with early-Y2K-inspired elements, alongside music influenced by those periods. Controls remove the run button, with most actions mapped to the jump input and the ground dash assigned to the right trigger or left mouse button.
