Skip it if you…

- Players looking for a conventional linear fantasy adventure may find its procedural Labyrinth structure less predictable
Our take on THYSIASTERY
Rather than following a fixed dungeon route, the game combines party recruitment, procedural areas, randomly generated characters, and permadeath. Its turn-based battles also make chance and exploitable weaknesses central to the encounter structure.
What is THYSIASTERY?
THYSIASTERY is a turn-based dungeon-crawling RPG with traditional roguelike systems and retro-inspired artwork.
Players command a party of characters marked by the Brand as they explore the vast Labyrinth and seek a way out. Exploration includes recruiting characters, forming alliances, examining objects and artifacts, and discovering environments such as buried forests and underwater cities. Combat lets players use chance and enemy weaknesses, while opponents can exploit similar conditions. Permadeath, procedurally generated areas, and randomly created characters shape each run. Characters can learn skills and pass them on to others. Difficulty modifiers adjust the challenge, and deeper exploration reveals ancient secrets surrounding the Labyrinth.

THYSIASTERY compared to similar games
THYSIASTERY centers on turn-based dungeon exploration, procedural areas, permadeath, and recruitable characters. Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition focuses on exploring a strange city and an unconventional story, while Back to the Dawn uses a prison setting with investigation, crime, and escape as its central activities. Tales of Symphonia presents a fixed epic adventure about a chosen figure and two connected worlds rather than a roguelike Labyrinth structure.
