The game departs from an ordinary-town RPG opening by turning the familiar hometown into the source of a monster crisis and sending its heroine into another world. Progression also includes exploration-oriented skills alongside attack, defense, and resistance choices.
What is The World's Egg - For Those Who Dream?
Mari and Kotone live in an ordinary town until residents collapse and become monsters from another world.
Guided by an ethereal voice, Mari transforms into Lilium and enters the dangerous realm connected to her home. The game combines exploration, combat, and character development as Lilium investigates the miasma, the connected worlds, and the possibility of restoring the town. Defeating enemies grants experience points, which unlock skills across separate trees. Development can focus on attack, defense, resistance, or abilities that support exploration. Movement through the new world consumes energy, while different environments contain item caches, ambushes, traps, and other surprises.
