We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Horror players who want a spaceship-escape scenario built around surveillance and creature defense
- Players who enjoy managing energy objectives while reacting to threats with different behaviors
- Players seeking a short, level-based horror game with 7 stages
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for open-ended exploration may hit the game's 7-level structure and fixed energy-transfer objective
- Players who dislike repeating camera checks, repairs, and corridor defense may bounce off the central gameplay loop
- Players seeking multiplayer play may not find a fit in this single-character escape setup
Our take on The Teleport
The likely bounce point is the split between monitoring and movement: cameras must be checked for creatures, but broken units require leaving the monitoring position and traveling to repair them. Players who want uninterrupted action may stall when the energy-transfer routine is interrupted by camera faults.
What is The Teleport?
Play as O'Conner, one of four people transported to a long-unheard-from spaceship.
Escape requires restarting the teleport machine while protecting against creatures that arrive at night to abduct corpses. During the day, transfer energy from panels to the teleport using a robot. Monitor the corridors through cameras and use shockwaves to halt approaching creatures. Each creature has its own behavior and traits, requiring camera checks suited to the situation. Cameras can also break randomly, requiring travel to their locations for repairs. A level ends when the energy transfer is complete. New creatures appear as progression continues, across 7 levels.
How The Teleport plays
- 01Energy Transfer
- Move stored power from daytime panels to the teleport each night with a robot.
- 02Camera Monitoring
- Check corridor cameras to track creatures and respond to their different behaviors.
- 03Shockwave Defense
- Use a shockwave when a creature enters the corridors to interrupt its advance.
- 04Camera Repairs
- Travel to randomly malfunctioning camera locations to restore their operation.
- 05Seven-Level Structure
- Complete each stage by finishing the energy transfer, with additional creatures introduced during progression.
