Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who want a story-led science-fiction action game with a romantic plot
- FPS fans interested in gesture-based abilities and weapon selection
- Adventure players who prefer exploring both futuristic and spiritual settings
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a combat system with mechanics beyond weapon use and shield gestures may hit a wall during the fighting missions
- Players who want an open-ended game without a strongly directed relationship and conspiracy narrative may lose interest in the story progression
- Players looking specifically for multiplayer shooting may not find the described individual story structure suitable
- Players seeking a climbing puzzle game, runner, or roguelite may find the RPG/FPS structure mismatched
Our take on The Stone
Players looking for tactical depth may bounce off when combat narrows to weapon selection and gesture-triggered shield use. Those invested in the story may instead hit a wall at Star Tower, where the mission shifts from romance setup to a dangerous relic-retrieval objective.
What is The Stone?
The Stone follows Jake, who seeks permission to marry Aurora, the daughter of President Rod, by undertaking the Silent Mission.
The mission sends him to Star Tower, an ancient holy site, to retrieve the Stone, a relic said to control the spiritual world. Gameplay combines exploration of a science-fiction setting and the spiritual world of the Pioneers with face-to-face interaction with virtual characters and combat missions. Jake uses different weapons and gesture-recognition skills to activate a shield system and fight enemies.
The game presents its story through a cinematic RPG and FPS structure, with character relationships, life-and-death battles, and a hidden conspiracy surrounding the mission. The vendor also describes plans for a challenger mode and additional weapons and skills in a subsequent game.
How The Stone plays

- Levels span a Galactic Federation setting and the spiritual realm associated with the ancient Pioneers.
- 02Gesture-based shield
- Hand gestures activate Jake’s shield system during encounters.
- 03Weapon-based combat
- Different weapons can be matched against enemies in the game’s FPS-style missions.
- 04Character relationships
- The story includes face-to-face interaction with virtual characters and Jake’s relationship with Aurora.
The Stone compared to similar games
The Stone combines a directed romantic science-fiction story with exploration, FPS-style missions, weapon selection, and gesture-activated shielding. Hentai Vs Furries focuses on third-person shooting, quests for skins, multiple camera angles, emotes, and a main game mode, while Abyssus centers on multiplayer shooting, roguelite progression, and weapon modification. The Stone’s described structure is more narrative-led, whereas those alternatives emphasize shooter modes and, in Abyssus, multiplayer play.
