Our take on The Space Between
Rather than using adventure games as a framework for extended exploration or repeated challenges, this experience treats the genre as a brief theatrical passage. Its three-act structure, static presentation, and fixed 40–50 minute duration replace conventional progression with atmosphere and staged narrative shifts.
What is The Space Between?
The Space Between is a short surreal narrative game divided into three acts.
It follows architect Martin Melanson, who encounters Clara outside his apartment complex at night. After they visit the theater Martin has been commissioned to build, the unfinished stage becomes the setting for a darker performance. As the pair explore the site, ordinary reality gives way to a story about closeness and separation. The game uses blurred PS1-style visuals, static presentation, and dialogue to create a dreamlike atmosphere. Its 40–50 minute duration is structured for completion in one sitting.
How The Space Between plays

- 02Surreal Presentation
