Our take on The Rose of Segunda
Rather than treating romance as a single route toward the expected royal match, the game makes social performance and personal identity central choices. The protagonist can pursue the Prince’s approval or depart from that goal, with personality decisions altering conversations, scenarios, and relationship possibilities.
What is The Rose of Segunda?
In Segunda, a fortnight of celebrations marks the Crown Prince’s birthday and the customary search for his future bride.
You arrive as the Duchess of Florentia’s daughter, alongside your unruly brother Frederique and the household steward Bastien. Opening decisions determine the heroine’s temperament, which can affect conversations, events, and personal connections. She may pursue the Prince by presenting herself as an exemplary noblewoman or choose another direction and attract a different suitor. The visual novel includes about 100,000 words, six romantic routes—four for men and two for women—and 26 CG illustrations.
