What is The Pathless?
Play as the Hunter, an archer traveling with an eagle across a mystical island affected by a spreading darkness.
Movement combines high-speed traversal, aerial gliding, acrobatics, and shooting while in motion. The open world includes meadows, snowy regions, mountains, forests, ruins, and hidden lore, with no map directing the route. Spirit sight reveals traces of the island’s past and assists with exploration. Ancient structures contain puzzles, while corrupted ancestral spirits serve as major opponents in boss encounters. Failure does not cause permanent damage or death. The game also features interactive music, voice performances from Laura Bailey and Troy Baker, and a soundtrack incorporating traditional Tuvan throat singing from the Alash Ensemble.
