Our take on The Memory Thieves
The game prioritizes repeatable, procedurally generated expeditions and high-stakes survival, giving up a predictable route through a fixed adventure. Failure is part of learning, so progress is tied to repeated attempts rather than a consistently paced journey.
What is The Memory Thieves?
The Memory Thieves is a cooperative horror game for one to four players.
Set in Ravenwood cemetery, it sends memory thieves through portals into the recollections of the dead to recover forgotten treasures while avoiding hidden dangers. Each memory is procedurally generated, providing a different experience with every playthrough. Enemies have varied behaviors, and cursed rooms and objects can negatively affect players while containing valuable loot. Players gain experience and money during their expeditions, then use them to purchase equipment and improve skills. Some equipment requires a particular level. The game presents a serious atmosphere with semi-realistic graphics and a soundtrack focused on its mysterious setting. Failure is part of the learning process, and a single mistake can be fatal.
