Our take on The Magnets
The game removes timed attempts and limited lives from its puzzle structure. Progress instead comes from managing magnet color, strength, and range, with undo, restarting, and later resumption available when a puzzle does not work out.
What is The Magnets?
The Magnets is a logic puzzle game in which magnets move blocks so balls fall onto platforms matching their color.
A magnet pushes blocks of the same color and pulls blocks of a different color when its number is higher than the block's number. The magnet's number also indicates the size of its field of view and impact area in squares. Difficulty rises steadily through the game. Puzzles have no time or life limits, and moves can be undone. Players can restart a level whenever they want, or leave a puzzle and return later to continue.
How The Magnets plays
- 01Color-based movement
- Magnets push blocks of the same color and pull blocks of different colors.
- 02Numbered magnet strength
- A magnet affects a block only when its number is greater than the block's number.
- 03Variable impact range
- The magnet's number also determines the size of its field of view and impact area in squares.
- 04Steadily rising difficulty
- Puzzle difficulty increases as the game progresses.
- 05Undo and restart
- Moves can be undone, and a level can be restarted at any time.
- 06Resume interrupted puzzles
- A puzzle can be left and continued later from where play stopped.
