Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a consistently action-focused game may hit a wall when exploration, dialogue, and story decisions take center stage.
- Players seeking a tightly defined genre may be put off when the experience can shift between adventure, shooting, and dating-simulator play.
- Players looking for a multiplayer experience will not find one; the game is single-player.
Our take on The Lotus Holidays
Players seeking a steady shooter may bounce off when the game moves back to exploration, dialogue, and choices; the shooting element is optional rather than the central format. Those who want a grounded, clearly explained plot may also hit a wall as the resort story turns surreal and leaves its circumstances in doubt.
What is The Lotus Holidays?
The Lotus Holidays is a single-player adventure set at a countryside spa resort.
After winning a free weekend there, the protagonist is told they have a rare virus and must undergo five days of treatment, but the events raise questions about whether that explanation is true. Play centers on exploring the resort, talking with its unusual residents, making decisions, and solving light puzzles. Choices can send the story in different directions, including optional shifts into first-person shooting or dating-simulator play. The game presents a stylized, surreal story with science-fiction themes and offers seven endings.
