Our take on The Glitch Fairy
Rather than treating enemies only as targets, the game makes them tools for movement, combat, and discovery. Its central ability can create platforms, weapons, healing items, or other effects, replacing a fixed power-up structure with experiments in enemy transformation.
What is The Glitch Fairy?
The Glitch Fairy is an action platformer following Monie, a fairy whose flight is stolen by Princess “Badassia” Spalanie.
A shrine gives Monie the Glitch Beam, which changes enemies into effects such as black holes, ghost platforms, healing items, flying swords, and a harpoon gun. Movement combines jumping, shooting, dashing, and glitching across 15 levels and more than 12 secret bonus levels, with settings ranging from a magical forest and tavern to deep space and a giant beehive. The game includes more than 30 glitches, 18 bosses, hand-drawn scenes between levels, speedrun-focused play, a compendium with more than 100 illustrated entries, and collectibles including artifacts, currency, power-ups, and follower dolls.

The Glitch Fairy compared to similar games
The Glitch Fairy is a single-player action platformer built around jumping, shooting, dashing, and changing enemies with the Glitch Beam. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is a chaotic metroidvania, while SUPER CHICKEN JUMPER centers on runner-style movement with shooting, so their core structures differ from The Glitch Fairy’s glitch-based exploration and speedrun play.
