Is The Gauntlet worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Solo players who want a single-player parkour-like speed-running game
- Speed-run fans who enjoy repeating courses to test routes and improve scores
- Players who prefer timed obstacle navigation over slower-paced game structures
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want forgiving courses may bounce off the lethal obstacle design and the pressure to avoid being slowest
- Players who dislike repeating completed stages to test routes or pursue higher scores may stop after the campaign
- Players seeking multiplayer competition may find the single-player structure too limited
Our take on The Gauntlet
The bounce point is the speed requirement layered onto obstacle survival. Players who can finish a course but do not want to repeat it for faster routes or higher scores may lose interest when Speedrun Mode becomes the main replay structure.
What is The Gauntlet?
The Gauntlet is a single-player, parkour-like speed-running game presented as a deadly game show hosted by Bad Bat.
Campaign Mode places the contestant in a series of lethal obstacle courses, using sprinting, sliding, jumping, and riding to reach the end. The game emphasizes completing each course quickly, with the player needing to avoid being the slowest contestant. After the campaign is completed, Speedrun Mode unlocks access to individual gauntlets for repeated attempts. This mode supports experimenting with new routes, handling obstacles in different ways, and working toward higher scores. The structure centers on navigating hazardous courses, finishing the campaign, and replaying completed gauntlets for faster results.
