Our take on The Donnerwald Experiment
Combat departs from a purely menu-based RPG structure by asking players to aim skills and evade attacks. The plot also moves beyond a single viewpoint, using a large tree to present the story from different angles.
What is The Donnerwald Experiment?
The Donnerwald Experiment follows Johanna Prokuri, a former inventor who lost her creativity after a nightmare and now risks becoming a monster.
Together with Montgomery, a charming mole, she hunts Dream Demons while seeking a cure for the Mare Noctem curse. Combat uses action commands, aimed skills, and evasive moves. Players develop and personalize a battle machine by finding more inspiration to unlock additional modules. Characters have their own goals, fears, and dreams, and relationships with them may affect events. A large plot tree presents the story from different angles. The game also includes boss battles with individual soundtracks and dogs that can be petted.
