Our take on The Creature
The split between a five-player hunt and a solo survival mode keeps the premise focused, but limits the range of available play structures. The early-access status and planned staged rework also make the current version a narrower snapshot than the intended saga.
What is The Creature?
The Creature is an early-access game with two modes.
Kill or Die supports multiplayer for up to five players, with four players taking teenage characters and another controlling the hostile creature. The teenagers destroy crystals to close a portal, remove the creature’s protective armor, and then attack it. The creature tries to stop them and remain alive. Altars provide special actions that affect the opposing side. Hunt is a single-player survival mode set in an abandoned or unexplored area. The player must coexist with other humans, defend against one or more stranded creatures, hunt them, and survive. The game is part of the planned Trandoria Saga, and the vendor says it will be reworked in stages.
How The Creature plays

- 03Altar actions
- Mystical altars provide abilities intended to hinder the opposing side.
- 04Solo creature hunts
- The single-player mode places the player among other humans while stranded creatures threaten the group.
