SimulationIs The Break-In worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Co-op groups of 2–4 players who want coordinated burglary missions
- VR players who want to play with non-VR teammates
- Players who enjoy changing routes, tools, and guards between missions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want fixed layouts and predictable objectives may hit a wall when room layouts, entrances, and NPCs change between missions.
- Players who prefer direct combat may bounce off the need to scout, climb, distract residents, and manage stolen items.
- Solo players may not want a game centered on online co-op for up to 4 players.
- Players seeking a game without equipment purchasing may dislike using sale proceeds to buy tools for riskier heists.
Our take on The Break-In
The bounce point arrives when a burglary requires more than entering and grabbing objects: climbing routes, guards, residents, cameras, vehicle capacity, and equipment choices all become part of the extraction. Players who want a simple theft loop may stop there.
What is The Break-In?
The Break-In is a burglary game for 1–4 players, with online co-op and cross-play between VR and non-VR players.
Missions take place in houses, stores, and casino vaults, where teams enter buildings, remove items, and load them into a getaway vehicle for sale. Randomized rooms, entry points, and NPCs require a new approach for each mission. Players can climb drainpipes, pass through windows, scout rooftops, and use equipment such as ladders, hammers, airbags, pistons, and firecrackers. Residents, guards, and cameras can interfere with a heist. Money from sold items buys equipment for more difficult jobs. Three classes are available: Infiltrator, Strongman, and Mastermind.
