OtherIs TEXT: Russia worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Beginning computer users who want practice through game-based typing challenges rather than open-ended drills
- Experienced typists who want record-setting goals across several modes instead of introductory instruction
- Players who prefer short, timed keyboard challenges over untimed typing activities
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a story campaign, characters or progression beyond records in individual modes may find the structure narrow.
- Those wanting unhurried practice may find the one-minute rounds, moving letters and penalties restrictive.
- Users looking for typing practice in a language other than the Russian-focused format may need a different game.
Our take on TEXT: Russia
Instead of following a lesson-based typing structure, the game turns practice into nine arcade-style tests. Moving letters, rapid appearances and unusual word directions replace a conventional sequence of instruction and exercises.
What is TEXT: Russia?
TEXT: Russian is a keyboard typing game with nine modes across SCROLL, QUICK DRAW and WORDS categories.
SCROLL challenges send letters horizontally, upward or downward, while players type them before they leave the screen; green letters represent life and red letters remove it. QUICK DRAW presents letters for immediate entry during a one-minute round, with missed letters causing time penalties. WORDS challenges use complete words within a one-minute limit, penalising incorrect letters. Variations include typing one letter at a time, choosing an order from groups, targeting a highlighted letter, and spelling words from the beginning, end or in random order. The game includes record-setting goals for each mode.
How TEXT: Russia plays
- 01Nine game modes
- The modes are divided among moving-letter, rapid-entry and word-typing categories.
- 02Moving letter challenges
- Letters travel across the screen, rise from below, or drop and rebound before they disappear.
- 03Timed word rounds
- Word challenges last one minute and apply time penalties when letters are entered incorrectly.
- 04Variable typing order
- Players can work through letters individually, select from groups, target a highlighted character, or spell words in different directions.
