Our take on Tether
The defining mechanic is the elastic tether: movement comes from attaching it, swinging through arcs, and converting momentum into flight across endless worlds.
What is Tether?
Tether is an abstract arcade platformer centered on elastic connections and arcing movement.
Players attach a tether, then swing and fly through an endless world. Zen mode offers free exploration, while Less Zen adds breakable objects. Free mode awards points based on speed and direction and requires avoiding blocks. Timed mode uses the same scoring structure with a two-minute limit.
Pursuit involves evading an advancing pursuer, with high-speed movement allowing blocks to be broken. Daily Race sets a finish objective, changes its generated world each day, and resets its leaderboard daily. The game includes original music, global leaderboards, ghost playback, 21 achievements, and a dark mode. It can be played as a relaxing activity or with the higher tension of its arcade modes.
