Our take on Temptation
The premise centers on an exorcism, but the stated play loop is a simple arcade minigame: carry out sins before their effects fade and the demon grows stronger. The description emphasizes atmosphere and hints, while the gameplay account focuses on timed actions.
What is Temptation?
Temptation is a casual arcade game about a medieval priest possessed by a demon.
To perform a self-exorcism, the priest commits sins: killing chickens to express anger, eating them for gluttony, sleeping for laziness, and taking gold for greed. Each sin reduces the demon’s power, but the priest’s accumulated sins fade over time while the demon grows stronger. The goal is to exorcise the demon before it gains the upper hand. The game includes different difficulty levels, cartoon-style medieval graphics, a gloomy atmosphere, a soundtrack, and hints presented as coming from another world.
How Temptation plays
- 01Timed sin management
- Sins fade as time passes, while the demon grows stronger, creating pressure to keep acting.
- 02Multiple difficulty levels
- The exorcism can be attempted at different levels of difficulty.
- 03Otherworldly hints
- Hints from beyond the ordinary world are part of the gameplay.
