Our take on Telestians
The presentation foregrounds faction variety, large armies, ruins, and custom maps, but gives little sense of how those systems connect during a typical turn. The result is a broad feature outline rather than a clear picture of the game's moment-to-moment rhythm.
What is Telestians?
Telestians is a turn-based strategy war game set in a dark-fantasy world.
Players begin with a Hero, recruit armies, defend castles, and capture enemy strongholds. Nine factions are available, including Barbarians, Dwarves, Elves, Knights, Orcs, Reptilians, and Undead. Heroes can gain reputation by defeating enemies, taking fortresses, and completing divine quests, then lead expeditions into ruins to find artifacts, mythical allies, and weapons. Battles feature more than 120 unit types, customizable regiments, and terrain-based tactics. Maps are randomly generated with varied environments, while the Map Maker allows custom battlefields containing obstacles, fortresses, and landmarks that can be shared.
